This past Sunday we had our Primary Program. Ellie and Caden did great saying their parts. Caden also sang very well. He was sitting on the front row so we could hear him clearly above everyone. It was quite funny. Lots of comments about him belting it out.

Ellie has a best friend, Yesenia. She sits next to her in class and we found out a couple of weeks ago that they live just a couple of blocks away. She is a very sweet girl and her family seems really nice. We started carpooling last week. I pick Yesenia up in the morning and her mom brings Ellie home. It has been a great arrangement. Ellie has had several play dates with her and they even made matching friendship bracelets. It is fun to see these girls together and listen to them talk.

Ellie has also joined a Campfire Kids troop. They meet every Monday after school. There are six girls and one of the moms from her Kindergarten class is the leader. It is pretty much like girl scouts, they even sing the make new friends but keep the old song at the end of every meeting.

Caden is doing great is school. This month they learned about France and did a mini Tour de France. His teacher even made everyone yellow jerseys for the race. It was so fun to see the kids ride their bikes. You can check out pics at his preschool website here : http://shiningstarsclass.blogspot.com/

Maxwell is a button pusher, literally. He turns on and off the tv, wii, computer, oven light, and even the heat. It took me at least 24 hours to realize that the heat was off and that was why it was so cold in my house. I am hoping this is just a phase and he will grow out of it soon.

October Fun!

Saturday, November 7, 2009
October was such a busy month for us. Here are the highlights:
  • First Snow of the Season
  • Carving pumpkins
  • Decorating Cookies and Haunted Gingerbread House
  • Pumpkin Festival
  • Pumpkin Patch
  • Heidi & Ryan's Birthdays
  • Ward Halloween Party and Carnival
  • Several Halloween Parties and Costumes Changes
  • Trick or Treating
  • Ellie lost her top front tooth
Of course I was in charge of the ward carnival as well as Caden's school Halloween party. Caden and I made a cool Jack O Lantern pinata for his party.

Ellie's costumes included Fancy Nancy for a school friends Halloween Party. Japanese Kimono for school party, witch for a friends Halloween Birthday Party, and Daphne for the ward carnival and trick or treating. It is crazy how many parties she had.

We had great fun dressing up as Scooby Doo and the gang for Halloween and the Ward party. We got lots of compliments. Next year will probably be our last year dressing up as a family before the kids start complaining and want to do their own thing.

Note: some of the pictures are from a previous post but keep watching the slideshow for new photos.
